To start the PECS IV+ to PECSTalk <\/strong>migration process your iPad should be running the latest version of PECS IV+ and iOS. iOS version 17 or later<\/strong> is recommended with iOS version 15.5<\/strong> being the minimum requirement.<\/p>

During the migration process, your device will need internet access as well as a valid email address (email address should be the one used to initially purchase PECS IV+). Check your Apple app purchase history to confirm the email address used for purchase.<\/p>

If you would like to export the current user data stored in PECS IV+<\/strong> and import into the new app, it is recommended that you start this process while waiting for your confirmation email with activation key to be delivered.<\/p>

If you do not want to import the user data stored in PECS IV+ into PECSTalk, please skip this step.<\/em><\/p>

To export your current data, go back to the main app menu and tap on Backups.<\/strong><\/p>

Access the email inbox for the address you used to complete STEP 2<\/strong>. You should have received an email from Pyramid Global Communication Technology LLC (<\/strong>appsupport@pecs.com<\/strong><\/a>) <\/strong>with the subject line of PECS IV+ to PECSTalk Activation Key<\/strong>. If the message is not in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folders.<\/p>

The email contains an Activation Key<\/strong> and download link for the PECS IV+ to PECSTalk<\/strong> app. To download the new app via the Apple App Store, click on the link included in the email while you are on your Apple device.<\/p>

Once the PECS IV+ to PECSTalk<\/strong> app has been downloaded to your device, open the new app by tapping the PECS IV+ to PECSTalk<\/strong> icon. After creating your first book within the app, an activation form will appear.<\/p>

Failing to follow this advice will lead to the overwriting of any unsaved, current books.<\/p>
